Founded in 2005 and exhibiting works by established and emerging artists, Gallery 384 explores art as an ongoing dialogue with landscape and history, aesthetic and otherwise.
Gallery 384 seeks to move past the impasse of conceptualism and strike a balance between art as image and art as process. We are interested in ambiguity as well as opinions. Our artists are linked primarily by their adherence to the idea of art as the formal analysis of a thematic, intellectual or social question. We believe in concepts, but only if they develop fully into ideas.
Gallery 384 is a member of the Catskill Gallery Association, an organization of eight art galleries located on the revitalized Main Street of Catskill, NY. Working closely with local museums and non-profits, the CGA continues the rich history of Catskill as a location for artists and for art.
